有人看我替人治病，以手按病人之頭，或叫病人轉身，以手拍打病人之背，做完，就說好了。
來人問我：「怎麼摩頂及拍打就是治病？」
我答：「是的。這就是密法。」
這些病人，有些當場就好了，有些隔一夜，就痊癒了。這摩頂與拍打就是如此奇妙！
大家可以想一想，我蓮生活佛盧勝彥，三十年來，持誦真言常不懈怠，唸佛常不懈怠，布施常不懈怠。…………
我與本尊時時在一起。
上師時時住頂。
護法前前後後圍繞。
諸佛及大菩薩眾，及諸天龍八部時時降來臨。
當我伸手摩病人頂，及用手拍打病人之背時，早已暗暗唸了「嗡。啊。吽」，將三字咒加持了自己的手，再以「嗡。啊。吽」加持在病人身上。
所以一摸觸病人，病人的病就消除。
一拍打病人的背，一切鬼魅即去，病人的病就痊癒了。
我原是一位道心最堅固的行者，修持戒行，永遠不退。就算天魔用盡方法，要迫退我的道心，我仍然精進如常，所以我永遠得到諸天愛敬，擁護加持。
我又一次的奉勸諸弟子：
守戒、唸誦、依教奉行。千萬勿失道心，決定證果，圓滿速證無上正等菩提。
The Method of Touching the Head and Slapping the Back

Someone observed the way I performed healing, such as how I would place my hand on the patient’s head or instruct the patient to turn around so that I could slap his back with my hand. Upon completion, I would say that the illness was healed.
A curious observer asked, “How is it that, by touching the head and slapping the back, an illness can be healed?”
I replied, “Well, it can heal. This is the Tantric technique.”
Some of these patients were healed on the spot while others needed another day before they recovered. This touching of the head and slapping of the back is simply marvelous!
Actually, to arrive at this level of achievement requires a long period of training, and it cannot be attained in just one practice. Just think: I, Living Buddha Lian-sheng, Sheng-yen Lu have been consistently and diligently reciting the mantras and the Buddha’s name, cultivating, performing Homa, purifying myself, giving mandala offerings, and practicing generosity for the past thirty years without fail. I am always with my personal deity, and my guru always resides above my crown. The Dharma protectors guard and surround me in circles, and all buddhas, bodhisattvas and the eight classes of devas and nagas often arrive at my place.
When I place my hand on the patient’s head, or slap the patient’s back, I quietly recite the mantra OM AH HUM, which empowers my hand, and in turn blesses the patient. Therefore, when I touch the patient, his or her illness is relieved. And when I slap on the patient’s back, all spiritual entities will detach themselves from the patient immediately, and the patient is cured of his or her illness.
I have the strongest spiritual conviction, always keeping up with my cultivation and discipline without fail. The celestial Mara may use all means to dissuade me from my path, but I always keep going. Thus, I always earn the respect from the heavenly beings, and they keep supporting me, giving me their blessings.
I want to offer again this advice to all my disciples:
Keep up with your disciplines, your recitations, and act according to instructions. Never lose your spiritual conviction, and be determined to reach fruition, swiftly attaining the unexcelled state of Perfect Enlightenment.
