我學習密教的時候，獲師父傳授「心中心印」的獨部法。
師父說：「此法務必密授，勿使人知！」
我問：「何人可傳？」
師父答：「心子！」
師父的意思是說，密教有很多的法是非根器不傳的，也一樣有很多法，非道心堅固者是不可傳的，「心中心印」就是其中之一。
師父說，所謂「心子」，就是「心心相印的弟子」，也就是不會背離的弟子，例如，馬爾巴上師視密勒日巴是心子，把傳承的法交付在他的手上。
「心子」在今世，比較難覓，因為現代人，人心複雜，並不單純，小有成就，就自誇已經超越自己師父了。現代人也不知感恩圖報，唯利是圖的多，有信有義的少，能夠信心堅固，至始至終道心堅固的更少。
所以師父說，傳授「心中心印」，務必擇人傳授，而且必須觀察多年，如果傳授非人，自己及宗派會受到大傷害，甚至師父也會被拖累，受到天譴。
我在這裡，不敢把「心中心印」講了出來，我只是說，只要學會了此法，舉手一召，諸佛菩薩、羅漢獨覺、二十八天眾、帝釋天王、大梵天王、四大天王、閻羅王、龍王、聖賢、天龍八部、鬼神眾，一聽召請，隨請皆得。
我曾經說過，密法要靈驗，一定要本尊降臨放光就靈驗，只要本尊與之合一，行一切法無不成就，所以學會「心中心印」何其重要。
大部分的密教祖師，視「心中心印」為獨部法，不妄傳，非「心子」不傳，因為妄傳非福，反而有禍矣！

The Most Secret Heart Seal

When I was learning the Vajrayana teachings, I received the transmission of the special practice of the Most Secret Heart Seal from my guru. My guru told me, “This method should only be imparted in secrecy, so the knowledge remains hidden from others.”
“Who can receive this teaching?”
“A heart son!”
My guru meant to say that in Vajrayana Buddhism there exist many practices which are only transmitted to the right candidate with high spiritual capacity, and again many practices are only imparted to those with strong spiritual conviction. The Most Secret Heart Seal is among these.
My guru explained that a heart son is referred to as a disciple whose heart mirrors the heart of his guru, who would not leave and betray his teacher. For example, Marpa looked upon Milarepa as his heart son, and thus passed the lineage to him.
A heart son is hard to come by these days, as people of modern times tend to display a tricky mind which is anything but innocent. With some measure of accomplishment, the individual will claim his supremacy over his own teacher. And modern people tend to show little gratitude, as most gravitate towards selfish ends. The trustworthy ones are few, and those who keep a strong and firm spiritual conviction all the way are only a handful.
Therefore, my guru said that the Most Secret Heart Seal must be transmitted to the chosen one, who must be observed for many years prior to this transmission. If the transmission of the Most Secret Heart Seal is given to the wrong person, the Guru himself and his lineage would be subjected to great harm, in which the Guru might have to take part of the responsibility and be punished by the heavens.
I would not dare reveal the details of the Most Secret Heart Seal here. All I can say is that anyone who learns this teaching is able to invoke all buddhas, bodhisattvas, arhats, pratyekabuddhas, the beings of the twenty-eight heavenly realms, Indra, Mahabrahma, the Four Heavenly Kings, Lord Yama, the Dragon Kings, the sages, the eight classes of devas and nagas and other spirits. Once invoked, they arrive immediately.
I once said that in order to achieve results with the Vajrayana practices, the personal deity must descend to radiate light. As long as you become one with the personal deity, you shall have success with all Dharma actions. You can see how vital it is to master the Most Secret Heart Seal.
Most Vajrayana lineage gurus considered the Most Secret Heart Seal a special teaching, and would only transmit it to the heart son. Should it be imparted to the wrong candidate, it would only bring misfortune.
